Naiad Demo Graphs
This page serves as a repository of production-ready demo graphs, many of which are generously donated by various skilled Naiad TDs around the globe.
These graphs should serve as a great starting point for making real shots that would require a similar setup. They are therefore useful for production, while also demonstrating how to make different kinds of graphs.
Enjoy!
READ THIS FIRST
- Every demo graph on this page is zipped into a tarball package which you will need to download off this page.
- Ensure you have defined the environment variable NAIAD_DEMO_PATH to point to the root directory containing all Exotic Matter's Naiad demos
- Each demo package has the following file organization:
README - Explains what to do, you should READ this file FIRST!

emp/ - Contains all necessary input geometry/data stored in EMP files.
Naiad Ocean Toolkit (NOT) Rock Splash
by Igor Zanic and Marcus Nordenstam
This graph demonstrates how to produce a simple NOT ocean mesh and use its velocity field to drive a fluid simulation which interacts with objects (rocks, in this demo).

Naiad River
by Igor Zanic
This graph was originally made for the 2011 SIGGRAPH NUGGET (Naiad User Group & Get Together), but we later decided it would also make a good demo graph, so here it is! If you need a river sim in your project, you could do a lot worse than to start off with this graph.
